Laura Mediavilla is an undergraduate student at the George Washington University majoring in International affairs with a double minor in Business Administration and Sustainability.
She has gained work experience interning for the Embassy of Spain, The U.S House of Representatives, and the World Bank. In addition she has collaborated with different projects on Human Rights in Venezuela.
Most recently, she has collaborated as a research intern at the Mexico Center at Rice University in Houston, Texas, developing a project to implement financial intelligence to improve the rule of law in Mexico.
Her first contact with European Horizons was as vice-president of the GW chapter. Originally from Palencia, Spain, she has lived in France, Ireland, Spain, and the United States.
Laura’s research interests include energy policy, rule of law, international development, and environmental policy. Her life-long career goal is to work for the United Nations.
